Trancas Geode
Trancas Geode
First discovered in 1973, Trancas Geodes are most commonly found via surface mining in Chihuahua, Mexico. These amazing rocks are incredibly varied & reveal awesome surprises once opened.
They often feature stunning druzy crystalline centers & may feature one or more different forms inside, such as Chalcedony, Agate, Quartz, Calcite, or even Helictite growths of Aragonite!
Trancas may not be the most colorful geodes, but unlike those found elsewhere, they fluoresce under short wave UV light due to trace amounts of minerals!
And while most Trancas Geodes feature a thin skin & those amazing druzy centers, a small percentage present as ThunderEggs, meaning they contain solid or nearly solid agate centers.
A Trancas ThunderEgg is not widely available as many were tossed aside over the years, when the more traditional hollow geodes were sought after in the field.
Because of the variety of possibilities each interior reveals, each piece makes for a potent combination of elements known to impart peace, patience, confidence, power, motivation, mental clarity, wisdom, courage, & balance. It is easy to think of these natural pockets of Mother Earth's blessings as little cauldrons of hidden gifts.
