Shattuckite Cabochon
Shattuckite Cabochon
Shattuckite is a relatively rare copper silicate mineral. First discovered in 1915 in the Shattuck copper mine of Bisbee, Arizona, USA, its name honors its discovery location.
It is a secondary mineral that forms from the alteration of other secondary minerals. It usually presents in a granular massive form & as fibrous acicular crystals, creating itself from the copper minerals present, Shattuckite forms pseudomorphs after Malachite. (A pseudomorph is an atom-by-atom replacement of a crystal structure by another crystal structure, but with little alteration of the outward shape of the original crystal.)
Shattuckite is considered a spiritual crystal associated with clarity & psychic information.
It is thought to bring inner strength & courage when facing stressful situations.
Shattuckite advocates personal responsibility & healthy boundaries. It encourages pragmatism & problem-solving, while discouraging self-pity. Considered a stone of truth, Shattuckite promotes accurate self-assessment & an open-minded view of the world.
