Gold Sheen Obsidian Palmstone
Gold Sheen Obsidian Palmstone
Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed in swiftly cooling lava that has a high silica content. It is not a true mineral, as it does not have an entirely consistent chemical content & it does not form crystals.
The color in Obsidian varies, depending on impurities in the lava formation. Golden Sheen Obsidian is formed by patterns of gas bubbles aligned along layers created by the flowing lava. The golden reflections on the stone's surface form as a result of that gas being trapped in the liquefied magma once it cools. This gives a mesmerizing glimmer of gold that blends well with Obsidian's ebony black base.
Golden Sheen Obsidian is believed, by crystal practitioners, to be particularly suitable for scrying. Scrying involves gazing into a medium, hoping to receive significant messages or visions that could offer personal guidance, prophecy, revelation, or inspiration.
It is also thought to be ideal for balancing energy fields and releasing the ego. The reflective nature of obsidian makes it one of the first stones used in self-reflective meditation, internal growth and self-understanding. The stone is not thought to give energy, but to help seekers discover where healing needs to happen.
